Between April 2020 and March 2021, close to 600,000 people accessed a local food bank. That's a 10 to 12 per cent increase compared to the previous year. As the number of food bank users have increased, so too has the need for food items. Donations of non-perishable, non-expired food items can dropped off at local grocery stores. Monetary donations can also be made through canadahelps.org.
